”Elon kierto” on tehty samasta vuonna 2017 myrskyn kaatamasta koivusta kuin ”Merkitty”. Vanhan koivun toinen haara repesi ja kaatui maahan myrskyssä. Tämä veistos on tehty haarakohdasta. Koivun pitkälle edennyt lahoamisprosessi näkyy monipuolisina kuvioina ja väreinä veistoksen pinnassa. Jalusta on tehty noin puolentoista sentin paksuisesta messinkilevystä, jolle hain veden pintaa muistuttavaa ulkonäköä.
“Elon kierto” is from the same birch, brought down by a storm in 2017, as “Marked”. The birch had a double branch, and the storm broke it in half. This piece is from where the two branches were joined together. The severe state of decay in the wood makes the surface especially full of colours and shapes. The stand is made of half an inch thick brass plate, which I gave a finish resembling water.
