Pyrin Mutkaa tehdessäni tavanomaista orgaanisempaan, mutta samalla sulavalinjaiseen muotoon. Mutka on haptinen veistos, jota voi ja saa tutkia omissa käsissä. Sillä ei ole oikeaa tai väärää asentoa, siksi sillä ei ole myöskään jalustaa. Mutka on tehty vanhasta Keravalla tuulen halkaisemasta kaksihaaraisesta koivusta, josta olen tehnyt myös veistokset Merkitty (2018) ja Elon kierto (2019).
In Bend I strived for a more organic yet smooth form. Bend is a haptic sculpture, thus it can be touched and held. It has no predetermined right or wrong position, which is also why it comes without a stand.
My sculptures Marked (2018) and Elon kierto (2019) are made from the same forked birch, split in half by a storm, as Bend.
